This 9.5-inch Fillet’s blade is the right size for salmon, pike,steelhead, and most larger fish. Because of the greater girth of thesefish and the extra surface area you’ll need to cut through, you’llappreciate having a longer blade.
The blade is razor-sharp 420J2 stainless steel for excellent corrosionresistance—always important for use in a wet environment. The steel isalso quite tough and easy to re-sharpen. What’s more, it offers just theright amount of “flex” to make filleting easier and to preserve thedelicate flesh and flavor of the fish.
