this new clamp meter is the result of 3 years of developmentincorporating several important requirements for automotive testing. first, the larger clamp opening of 19mm allows for clamping over largerground cables and some of the multiple ground cable systems.manyre-sellers and end users have requested the larger clamp size over thepast 7 or 8 years, so we were able to accomplish this, while stillkeeping the required 1ma low resolution for battery drain testing. second, we improved the zero stability over existing model 687 -another request from the field.other notable improvements over 687include:double injection housing (much higher quality housing),greater dmm functions/features like analog bargraph and min/max.thisproduct incorporates many requested improvements and feedback that we’vereceived from voice of the customer.
